# Usage and limits

> Check AI credits, shared organization allowances, and video and screen-sharing usage.

Open **Settings → Organization → Usage & Limits** and select the organization you want to review. Your AI credits,
integrations, and voice input appear separately from the organization's shared pools. See [Plans and credits](/plans)
for the full plan comparison.

## Call allowances

Every paid member adds **2,000 huddle participant-minutes** and **500 video/screen viewer-minutes** per month for the
organization to share. These are separate allowances; turning a camera on does not multiply huddle time.

* **Participant-minutes:** one person connected for one minute uses one minute.
* **Viewer-minutes:** one camera or shared screen delivered to one other connected human participant for one minute uses
  one minute. Multiple streams and viewers add together. Muted tracks, your own preview, and AI notetakers do not add
  media usage.
* **Voice only:** uses participant-minutes but no media viewer-minutes.
* **AI meeting notes:** use their own meeting-note pool.

Two people with cameras on for 30 minutes use 60 participant-minutes and 60 media viewer-minutes. With four cameras and
four people, the same 30-minute call uses 120 participant-minutes and 360 viewer-minutes. One shared screen in that
four-person call adds another 90 viewer-minutes.

## What the media meter measures

Mantle calculates media usage from LiveKit's server-side room observations: active camera and screen tracks, the number
of other connected human recipients, and elapsed time. It reconciles room/track changes and also checks ongoing calls
once per minute. Counters and enforcement can therefore lag briefly, including when a provider event is delayed.
Repeated provider notifications do not charge the same interval twice.

Viewer-minutes count other connected human recipients, including when their video tiles are hidden or minimized. Your
own preview does not count. Video quality and network conditions do not change how these minutes are counted.

## Warnings and limits

Mantle shows a warning in the call when the organization reaches 80% of its media pool. When the media allowance runs
out, the server disables cameras and screen sharing for that organization. Your voice call can continue within the
remaining participant-minute allowance. Other collaboration features remain available. The usage meter may show a small
amount above the allowance because ongoing calls are checked periodically.

Monthly call pools reset on the first day of the month at **00:00 UTC**, including on annual plans. Adding paid members
increases the shared pool. AI credit packs do not add call time or media viewer-minutes. Mantle does not automatically
charge media overages.
