Mantle works best when active work is easy to reach and finished work is easy to find later.

Use folders and pins

Create folders for related chats and channels inside a workspace. Keep the structure shallow: a few clear groups are usually easier to scan than many small folders. Pin items you return to often. A pin is a personal shortcut; it does not need to change how the rest of the team organizes the workspace.

Archive finished work

Archive a chat, channel, canvas, or workspace when it is no longer active but its history still matters. Review archived items from the relevant workspace settings. Delete only when the content should be removed permanently. Export anything you are required to keep first.

Use search instead of perfect filing

Clear names and a few folders are enough for most teams. Press Command + K or Ctrl + K to find messages and canvases by their content. See Search for filters.

Export and data controls

Mantle includes export and retention controls in settings. The available actions depend on whether you are managing your own account, a workspace, or an organization. Before a large cleanup or account change, check shared links, connected apps, active tasks, and any information your team must retain.
A short weekly cleanup is enough: rename unclear items, archive finished work, and turn any lasting decision into a canvas or clearly written channel message.
