Triggers

Triggers are not yet available for Google Docs. Tools are fully supported — connect and start using them in any agent.

Example use cases

After a brainstorm in chat, ask your agent to create a new Google Doc with the key ideas organized into sections — title, outline, and action items — and share the link in the channel.
Ask your agent to find a specific doc by name, read its content, and provide a concise summary in chat — with a direct link to the full document.
After a meeting, tell your agent to append the discussion summary, decisions, and next steps to an existing Google Doc — keeping your team’s records up to date automatically.

Troubleshooting

Search uses document titles and content. Make sure the document is accessible to the authenticated Google account. Check sharing settings in Google Drive if the document belongs to someone else.
Confirm that the authenticated account has edit access to the document. View-only or comment-only access will block write operations.
Google OAuth tokens can expire. Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Docs, disconnect, and reconnect to refresh your authorization.
