You can start on Free without a payment card. If you want to try the paid features with your team, an organization owner can start a 14-day Plus trial after everyone has accepted their invitation.

First, choose the right place

A chat is mainly a conversation with AI. A channel is mainly a conversation between people, but you can type @ and mention an AI model or agent whenever you want it to join.

Set up Mantle for a team

1. Sign in

Go to mantle.chat/login. Choose Continue with email, enter your email address, and enter the one-time code sent to your inbox. You can also choose Sign in with Google.

2. Create an organization

An organization contains your members, billing, and workspaces.
1

Open the organization menu

Select your current organization icon in the left rail, then choose Create organization. If you already belong to several organizations, open Switch organization first.
2

Name the organization

Use your company or team name, such as LTC Healthcare, then select Create.
3

Review the default workspace

Mantle creates a shared default workspace for the organization. You can keep its name or open its settings to rename it.

3. Invite teammates

Go to Settings → Organization → Members and select Invite.
  1. Choose whether the person is a Member or Admin.
  2. Review their workspace access. The organization’s default workspace is already included and cannot be removed from the invitation.
  3. Choose Email, enter their email address, and send the invitation. You can also create a shareable invite link.
Wait until the people who should join the trial have accepted. Pending invitees cannot be selected as trial members.

4. Start a 14-day Plus trial

Only an organization owner can start the trial.
1

Open Billing

Go to Settings → Organization → Billing.
2

Choose Start 14-day Plus trial

Select Try Plus for each accepted member who should receive Plus during the trial. You can select up to five people.
3

Choose plans after the trial

Choose Core, Plus, or Max for every accepted member and select monthly or annual billing. People not selected for the trial stay on Free during the trial, but every accepted member needs a paid level if the organization converts.
4

Add a payment method and start

A payment card is required, but Mantle does not charge it until the trial ends. Each selected person receives 10,000 trial credits for 14 days.
Unless the owner cancels, the organization changes to the selected paid plans when the trial ends. Cancel before the end if you do not want paid billing to start. Trial credits expire; your team’s messages and files are not deleted.

Try the main features

Start a new AI chat

Select New chat in the left rail. You can also select the + beside the workspace selector and choose New Chat, or press Command + Shift + O on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + O on Windows and Linux. Choose a model beside the message box and try:
Help me turn these notes into a short project plan. Ask me for any missing details.
You can attach files or images, use voice input, and turn on web search when your plan and chosen model support them.

Create a channel

Select the + beside the workspace selector and choose New Channel. Give it a clear name, such as #customer-feedback, and add an optional description. Post a first message explaining what belongs there. Type @ in a channel to mention a teammate, AI model, or agent. Use a thread when a reply belongs to one message rather than the whole channel.

Create a canvas

Select the + beside the workspace selector and choose New Canvas. Rename the new canvas and use it for a plan, brief, meeting notes, or another document your team should maintain together.

Create an agent

Select Agents in the left rail, then select the + beside Agents. Add a name, description, instructions, and model. You can also upload focused knowledge files and add connected tools. Select Create Agent, then start a chat to test it. To begin from a ready-made setup instead, open Agents → Templates, choose one, and select Use Template.

Create a scheduled task

Scheduled tasks require Core, Plus, Max, or an eligible Enterprise plan.
1

Create the task

Select Tasks in the left rail, then select the + beside Tasks.
2

Describe the job

Enter a task name and instructions that can run without follow-up questions.
3

Add the schedule

Under Trigger, choose Select a trigger, then Schedule. Set the frequency, time, time zone, and optional start or end date.
4

Choose the worker and destination

Select an agent and the channel where Mantle should post the result.
5

Create and test

Select Create Task, then use Run now to check a real result. Turn the task Active only after the test works as expected.
Scheduled runs use the task owner’s credits.

Add workspace knowledge

Open Settings, choose the workspace under Workspaces, and open Workspace context. Add:
  • short instructions that should guide every AI conversation in this workspace;
  • reference files that AI may need;
  • selected canvases that should be available as shared knowledge.
Instructions are considered in every AI conversation. Mantle does not paste every knowledge file into every request. It looks for relevant parts of ready files and added canvases when they can help answer the question. A canvas is not included until you add it to Workspace Context. See Workspace knowledge for examples and access guidance.

Use credits carefully

  • Different models use credits at different rates. Use an efficient model for routine extraction and drafting, then a stronger model for an important final review.
  • As a chat grows, each new request may need more of the earlier conversation. That can increase credit use, even when some input is cached.
  • Start a separate chat for each tender, contract, client, or distinct topic. Start fresh when old messages no longer help with the next request.
  • Long answers, deeper reasoning, web search, file analysis, and connected tools can all use more credits.
  • Check Settings → Organization → Usage & Limits to see the balance and recent use for the active organization.
